The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Indian ODI team for the first two matches against West Indies at home, as well as the 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup in the West Indies.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly was named for first two Windies ODIs following his performances for the Test side on the tour to South Africa. Virender Sehwag’s name , however, was struck off the team sheet for the two games. He though remained in the 30-man probables list.
